Parlay Definition
A Parlay is a bet on two or more teams, or event participants, in no particular order. All teams or participants wagered on in a Parlay must win. If there is a tie or No Action among the selections made, the Parlay reverts to the next lowest number for payoff. In the case of a 2 Team Parlay, it reverts to a Straight Wager.
Parlay Introduction:
The parlay can be comprised of a series of bets on a team, over/under bets, or any mixture of the two. For the parlay to be a winning wager, every one of its individual plays must win. If any of the individual plays is not a winner, then the entire parlay wager loses.
Why wager on a parlay and not make several individual bets? The payouts for parlays are significantly higher than for individual bets. But remember, since every one of the individual plays must win, it's an all-or-nothing bet. If you win two out of three plays, the parlay still loses, whereas you would have won those two plays as individual straight bets. You are given better odds because predicting the outcomes of several plays together is more difficult than predicting any individual play.

Four major sports can be parlayed (football, basketball, baseball, and hockey). Money lines that differ from -110 affect the payout of the parlay. The higher the negative money line, the lower the payout of the parlay. The higher the positive money line, the higher the payout.

Open Parlay: A parlay can be left with open teams/contests or open spots and be filled in later on. There is one month's time to fill the open spots. If the wager is not completed in this time, it is considered a loss. At Apex Sportsbook you are permitted to open a two to eight team parlay with a minimum of one contest selection.
